Been doing foot work all morning and every customer I have is telling me there slow, and or slowing down. Looks like it's going to be a bad winter for freight, rates are way below where they should be and dropping with fuel. I've had a few brokers call on stuff over the last week and I couldn't make any of it work....are y'all seeing the same thing?
It's already slowing down for winter!!!

roshea Thanks this. -
north dakota actually had freight. too bad it was all hey, 10 feet wide. and only paid around $1.20ish. BEFORE PERMITS. ended up with a good paying load of mats from one of our agents. and only had to bounce 16 miles for pickup.
rates have been dropping for about the past 6 weeks though. getting harder to find 2 dollars with one stop and legal. -

Slowing down here too, just in the past couple of weeks. I haul construction stuffs and it looks like construction is going limp after a pretty good summer here in Florida. Here I was hoping it would keep going for another 20 years!

This Government shut down is having an effect on the entire market. No Government freight is moving unless it's mission critical. Causes a ripple effect in the whole market.
