    Looked forward to this days mail! I'm supposed to report to Fontana on Tuesday. Figured on renting a car for the trip. Waiting on final details: packing list, (already been told here what to bring) hotel all that stuff.
    Thanks to everyone's posts! It's been good to get an idea of the road ahead!

    Brings back memories. Got mine March 1st, 1976 Temp from DMV (Ca.) Thought I was one cool dude ! Hard copy came in mail about 60 days later. Word of advice.....keep it squeaky clean.

    Congradulations. I have a stupid question but whats a "hard copy"? Do you not get your actual liscence right away? In IL they print the plastic liscence on the spot, takes about 5 minutes.
