It's official! Hard copy CDL arrived today!

    a hard copy is the same as you just described you get in 5 minutes...... most states give you a temp (piece of paper) and the hard copy arrives in about 10 days

    Yeah, Az. is the same. They don't mail anything. You get D/L on the spot even vehicle title if you're registering there.

    In California, you are handed a paper 'receipt' that together with your old non commercial license is your CDL. It took a week to get the hard copy. (About 2 weeks sooner than I expected!)
