The thing I do not understand is this...
When the driver facing camera was first disabled we were given permission to cover the inside lens if we desired. We were asked to be careful in how we did it so the lens itself would not be damaged, but it was OK to cover it.
At my last service they removed the tape I used to cover it. (The lens itself was protected by a layer of paper towel, so the glue would not damage it.)
A message has been sent out (a couple times) to not cover the inside lens, but not to worry because it is not being used.
Why?
Why do they care if the lens is covered if it is not enabled?
Why the permission before and not now?
What possible difference could it make to them, unless they had the ability to 'peek' whenever they wanted?
Personally, I do not really care.
I covered it when my daughter rode with me and it freaked her out to have a camera pointed at her all the time. And when she gets back on the truck in a couple weeks I will cover it again.
I'm pretty sure it is a Knight thing. But I can not see the logic of it, if the inside camera is actually fully disabled.
I'll try to remember to bring it up with my DM and see what he has to say on the matter, -
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.! -
Some things have been good.
And why not God bless every person on this earth and their families, and their countries?
Don't be so exclusive, because I'm pretty sure God isn't.mathematrucker, Alluem and born&raisedintheusa Thank this. -
