But don't let this thread go too far. Trucking companies may ask Freightliner to actually build one of these #### things.
If they do, I may be driving for Swift again right after the end of the world no matter if I survive or not. Also, "death before driving for C.R. England" may not mean much in a word with Frankenliners.

Let's keep this Frankenliner idea to ourselves.

 

Unions would actually love the Frankenliner. After a union driver of said Frankenstein Freightliner passes on to the great truckstop (with perfect showers, food, and parking) in the sky, he could be kept in the cab for a few weeks more. This would allow his family to keep collecting his great salary and benefits, not to mention allow the union to collect his dues.

This would be no different from unions being able to force railroads to keep their firemen on the locomotives, although the engines were converted from steam to diesel.

But hey...I love unions anyway.
