Make sure your drop gates are closed when you load.

I know this sounds like something nobody would forget but you'd be surprised how many times it happens.
LOL...you'd surprised how much material can run out through the bottom before you get the augur shut down or your gates closed.

No #### man, good point. Seen it done it, lucky for me the few times have been load with loader, or over pit; so easy save.
Did see a guy do that on scale in hut at Lions, Ks once loading purple salt.

LOL...I learned the hard way too. Hauling rice out of the field with double hoppers. I'd closed the front trailer but not the back.
By the time I got the bank-out wagon driver to shut down I had a pretty good puddle on the ground. The farmer didn't say much, just tossed me a grain shovel and told me to get as much off the ground as I could .

That brings up another thing. You'll make mistakes, every new guy does. Just don't let them defeat you. Learn from them and go on.
Almost every mistake can be corrected and if you're around a bunch of grain haulers there won't be much they haven't seen and know just how to fix.

    Oxbow and motocross25 Thank this.

Had those, works good on flat ground and if calibrated at least monthly. Even if it off a location scale with all groups. Steers are manual input.
Keeps you in about 400/500 range.
