All you need to see the Hajj is a Hajj Permit. How easily it is obtained depends on which side your photo is on for your Saudi visa. I've been to Saudi Arabia,though not Mecca,and have meet fellow coworkers that had been to Mecca. They even let female CNN reports cover the Hajj.

 

That tree is no longer there; it broke and fell last year.
