Who cares what the companies say? They don't write the law. Whats stopping you from slamming 50 shots 8.5 hours before you are scheduled to drive? That alcohol will still be in your system & chances are, you'll still be out of it.

I am NOT a driver (4 wheeler) so can you interperet this in ''English'' for me please? What is the 'short version?'
Thanks Sammycat

Don't have a detectable presence of alcohol on your breath or person. I stop someone and smell alcohol, thats detectable. Then the driver goes to the police station and is offered a breath test.truckerdave1970, ampm wayne, wulfman75 and 1 other person Thank this.

The way I understand it....
If he see's alcohol in the truck or smells anything remotely to alcohol on your breath... You immediatly get a forced 24 hour time out.dieselbear Thanks this. -
You can verify this as well.
You can smell it on someone hours after they drink it and sometimes in their breath the next morning even after mouthwash. -
Sometimes its 48 or 72 hours before the jail lets them out.

Think about anytime you have not had a drink, then get around someone who has. It is easily detected. And yes you can smell it evn after mouthwash and hours later. -
Oh I agree DB! The ex would come home after work and would deny stopping at the bar and I told him the same thing- you can smell it for hours especially if you have not been drinking.
Thanks everyone for the responses!!!!!!

2 beers to a drinker equals a 12 pack to the rest of us.
You are suppose to stop 4 hours before driving and must be below the legal limit at that time. I think 4 hours is too lenient. One needs 8 hours to sleep it off. If you drink before work, you have a problem. After work is nobodies business if you don't make a public nuisance of yourself.
