I've heard of "Truckers Knee" but I have pain in just one of my quads - Is this normal in trucking?

I have been taking 800MG Ibuprofen now for almost 2 years. The narcotic crap makes me sick!

Yes, I do. This is why my VA provider CLOSELY monitors my kidney outputs and my eGFR!

The thing is there is no real cure for osteoarthritis. This crap is eating at both shoulders, my SI joints, and BOTH hips. The VA has weened me off Toridol shots and won't give me any more Prednisone. This really leaves me with two options to control pain so bad it keeps me up at night. Tylenol and Ibuprofen! I can't take Tylenol because it interferes with my Dexcom CGM system that I depend on to watch my blood sugar in real-time. Rapid blood sugar spikes cause me to have seizures. Yes, I'm a mess!

The "pins & needles" are gone, but the left leg pain is still there, especially the knee.
I used to pull up my left pants leg to see if ants were biting me.
That sleeping/pain med liquid I posted has made a big difference also.

Have you tried smoking weed or using weed edibles?

My GP didn't believe it was sciatica either, so I went to an orthopedic specialist who took the xray and said my spine had arthritis and bone spurs in the general region that would trigger pain from the sciatic nerve. He said surgery "could" correct it, but I'll pass on that. I take two or three ibuprofen before bed and that helps a lot. It also helps if you're able to sleep on your back rather than sides or stomach, at least that helps me, but on my back I snore like a freight train.

Put a small pillow between your knees while sleeping.

    SteveScott Thanks this.

Not yet. As long as I can take Ibuprofen and get the occasional shot of Toradol I'm OK.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
