Apparently a few of the o/o's have been beta testing. Sounds like its going to be peoplenet.
I've heard we may go with ELOGS starting of July to end of the year!

The guys running dedicated to Canada out of Helena have been on them for several months now testing them

July, then August, now next month.... They said they certainly want to be elog operational for 2014 with all of the new trucks. Drivers with The new trucks should tell us if they have them. However, how many drivers have time to be in the forums? My 2007 cascadia has bugs in it, and they crawl on me at night. GottA a breathe some raid I guess.

Will elogs cause people to get less miles?

Don't think so if you are legit on your logs anyway. But a two minute pee break will be two minutes, not 15.

Well, there's a federal mandate coming down the pipe, and its certainly one way to "buy down" your CSA score since you can't really cheat e-logs.
In theory, three years after full implementation, there should be no more log violations reported on the CSA site as the previous violations age-out.
I for one think it will be quite nice to have a single-box solution for logging, dispatch, and potentially: navigation. -
They're stink bugs from North Carolina. I am going to bomb the rig during home time.

Don't be scared of the eLog. Soon it'll be your best friend. PeopleNet (When it's working properly) really makes the job a lot more easier and literally takes the brainwork out of calculating your time left on the log. It'll flag everything you do, basically all you'll need to do is enter on duty/off duty trip info and inspections. When PeopleNet goes down for maintenance, that's when you'll be cursing the paper log.
jomar68 Thanks this.
