He's hired, which we had no doubt. Just waiting to see if SFI will approve him. He's been driving for almost 11 years, but within the past year, he's had 3 1/2 months local, so they are trying to pull strings...

Hey I just was wondering about the first payments..ive heard from some u dont make your 1st payment til week 3 and also from another its week 5. Which is it? Seems like a good way to start...and can you put more money down than required to lower your weekly payment on say a 1 year lease to a new fl? I havnt seen this covered in other forums...thanks for any info.

 

First payment is the 3rd week. But remember week 1 in orientation counts as a week...you should have time to get a load in before the Monday cutoff but essentially you have 1 free week without a payment.

 

Thanks for heads up...information is good..real good here! This programs makes real good sense for drivers wanting to take that next step in careers through all my research. I'm definitely going to apply for the new year after I button everything up at home, moving into a new place, holidays and continue building up my savings for a good cushion. For now everything I do is going to lead me 1 step closer to that goal of joining ic choice so i can really focus on starting this business venture right and on stable footing. I'm thinking the end of december my app will be in and January is good time for truck inventory im assuming and hopefully they allow me on board as long as my credit isn't the deciding factor.
