It's better to take the gasket out and put a quarter in the glad hand, then put the gasket back in.
There was a IC who regularly parked in the training area on weekends and didn't heed the polite warnings. He thought since he left before 0700 on Mondays, it was fine. He didn't understand we had remedial students working in the yard on Saturday. One instructor had enough and took matters into his own hands.
On Monday the IC couldn't get the trailer brakes to release, so he was still there to get told off in person.
I've never lost my patience in public, until now...

Back 6 or 7 years ago I once came unglued at an Amazon facility. I forget exactly what it was but essentially some fat and nasty woman trucker with a dash full of trash stole my dock number that I was assigned right as I was finding my way to it, then jumped out and started unhooking. I lost it. It was just one of those days. I’d probably waited 20 mins to get assigned and then now would need to get back to the gate house to sort things out. Didn’t have the time or patience.
What really pissed me off was her spot had a trailer in it so she decided to just drop in my spot instead of going and sorting out her own crap. She decided to screw the next person and got caught but didn’t care even a little bit. I was a little embarrassed hours later but at the same time, she deserved the severe cussing she received. LOL I’m getting hot over it just reliving the moment right now. Crap.Hammer166, RockinChair, TruckDriversDaughter and 4 others Thank this. -
I had a good rant on some pinhead that did the planning when I drove local for Schneiser doing Sprouts produce.
Got going and accentuated the point with," You do realize at the time you are having me deliver in Queen Creek, that puts me empty 58 miles from here at the edge of Urbana? This is the 5th largest city in The United States. We have this phenomenon called "Rush Hour". And you have me in the teeth of it for 58 miles.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
The only time I've lost my cool so far was when a customer said I couldn't sweep my deck off. And I lost it bad.

The 2 minority drivers in a USA state fuel truck stop island, both had their guns drawn,
in their right hands, kept near their right legs, slightly hidden but perfectly visible to him.
He became impatient when they were not doing anything outside the tractor for at least 15 minutes.
He began shouting, but became quiet and scared very quickly.
I was on the phone with him when it happened.
I screamed at him to keep his mouth shut and just wait.
I hope that he learned a valuable lesson that day.
