I don't personally know anyone that is doing that, but check in here http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...truck-performance-tuning-modifications-forum/ there has been plenty of talk about that engine and what you are wanting to do to it. I do know that once you get all that "stuff" off of there you will like that truck a whole lot more.
I've reached rock bottom... (long)

I know a guy in Lafayette,LA that does them when you get back on your feet I'll give you his number...
One more thing that company your leased to will they let you find return loads? -
yes they do,
unfortunately I don't have access online to a load board. I did find a few at the beginning (5 months ago) when I first started with them and was borrowing some one's credentials to get into the website but that's no longer possible since that guy is out of business from his own doing now -
Landstar and Mercer both have free online load boards.
-
you mind telling me what is mercer's website? -
Just google Mercer load board, its not near as nice as what LS has, at least the last time I looked at it.

I just spent almost two hours reading 19 pages.......only to find out everything is right back where it started.
PS...One company I drive for bought 10 new '08 petes with the infamous C-15 PDF engine. They got rid of them in less than a year at a huge loss. The trucks came close to breaking them. Had the old trucks they had with over a million miles on them not kept on keeping on they would have been broke.
No one wanted to drive the new trucks. They were nice, but no one wanted to sit at a dealer or in a motel most trips.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
When I was doing my last trade, I had been back and forth with the salesman at the big 3 letter KW chain in the Southeast for days putting a deal together. After going thru all the flaming hoops, I found out they had sold the truck to someone else. No, I wasn't going to play the let's find another truck game. I did stop short of cussing him out for wasting all my time.
Moral of the story? I did keep in touch with the few sales contacts I met and liked during this search, as well as earlier ones. A few weeks later, a guy I had met over two years ago (when shopping for truck number two that was bought elsewhere) called. They had just got one in with the exact specs I was looking for. And it is the one I am driving now. His hard work paid off as I returned a few months ago and bought a trailer there too.
Maybe that wasn't the deal for you, and a better one will come along when you aren't under the gun and looking so hard.
So what was the hitch on the first deal? Stupid salesman failed to ask for a bad check they would never cash as a down payment to hold the truck. Without "money" on the deal, it was fair game until closed. Lesson learned, I asked about that the second time. I risked a couple of days with oil analysis and dyno reports before I handed him a check. I got it back when we closed the sale a week later. Such a stupid thing to lose a week and extend my search nearly another month over.
