Anyone have any experience with this? Mine appears to be froze as the touch screen will not react when touching the buttons. However, it will show a map of its' last location which is a few thousand miles from my current location. While showing this map, the screen bounces side to side and I cannot control it. Is the screen shot or do I need an entire new setup? Dealship wants $2500 to replace. I can buy it after market for $500 new or $50 used. I have not tried, but I am told I can perform a soft or hard reset. Will this remedy it? Thanks for your help.

I have the Iway 600c and when I had a problem with it I called Lowrance and they had me send it to them. I did and recieved it back a few weeks later, repaired for no charge. They seem to be really good about customer service.

Mine is out of warranty and is no longer made. I'll contact them to see what options I have. Thanks for the reply!

I too have the 600c in both of my 389's. They are worthless junk. I had problems with my first one within the (what I now know is ONLY a 1yr, even if you purchase an extended Peterbilt) warranty, which the dealer documented. It finally stopped responding with the the exact symptoms you described. Took it to the dealer and was then denied warranty replacement by Pana-Pacific b/c it was outside the 1yr warranty by a couple of weeks. I then called Lowrance, and at the time customer service was awesome. They said that they have to provide an extended warranty to Pana-Pacific and the OEM, and that they would honor mine--just send it in.

Needless to say, that was back in September of 2009, and I still have a big hole in the dash. :biggrin_2552: Mine was supposedly unrepairable, so they ordered a new replacement. I've called numerous times, only to be told it's still on order.

Now my newest truck had problems with the unit as soon as I took delivery. I learned my lesson with the first, and they replaced it at the cost you quoted...it ain't cheap.

My understanding is that the ones you can get off of fleabay are non-PACCAR and therefore won't mount in the dash. They are external mounted only, and being sealed and supposedly waterproof, I don't know that you could easily convert the unit.

Anyway, if anyone knows how to order replacement dash panels without the darn navigation hole, let us know. I'll just delete the **** thing and put something else in it's place. The dealer says you have to order by VIN. I should have elected to order the trucks without the junk had I known that's what they are.

FWIW, with the symptoms you describe tsass, you won't be able to do a hard/soft reset. Your ability to use the touchsceen has gone bye-bye, and you must have that access to perform the reset procedure.

Thanks for the replies. Good news, I FIXED IT!!! I performed a soft reset and now it works flawlessly. I used it on my trip home yesterday and today. 1200 miles and not a lick of trouble. Hey, thanks for the help anyway. Much appreciated!:biggrin_255:
