I heard the recruiters for JB Hunt were promising "no touch" deliveries for this account which is almost accurate. If a driver thinks "no touch" means backing to a dock and somebody else does the work, they will be very disappointed. The C&S work is grocery stores, some have docks but much of it in NYC is street deliveries. That means lift gate trailers and hand jacks. Good luck getting someone to help push or pull a pallet to get if off the trailer, grocery store personnel won't get on the trailer. It's not a bad job, working for the current trucking companies, but you do bust your ### making deliveries.

You don't have to look far to find a former driver in MA, VT, ... I am one... I worked for them from 9/94-3/99... and in that period of time we went through over 2000 drivers, just at the Hatfield facility. I started when the Hatfield, MA facility opened... The 2000 figure came from the driver numbers being issued... About once a year I would have what my wife called a meltdown from running (5-6) 15 hour nights, a week... I drove from 530-600 miles starting early afternoon and getting done the next morning... you just slept on your day off... I never missed the place when I left.

I was referring to working for Webster Trucking hauling for C+S... I was the senior driver on nights in a very short time because of turnover...
