This what they're offering up here... plus $50 to start the day.... .42/15/ and I think I read 16 delay... The $50 is a nice start on the day... supposedly to cover pre/post/fuel....

    ewill71 Thanks this.

The deal in Brattleboro and Hatfield is .44/mile, $10.50 a stop and $20.50 if you are doing stops with a lift gate trailer. There is no $ for pre/post trip like Windsor Locks, Newburgh and Chester will be getting. They claim those facilities are getting that due to less miles per day. The weekend incentive of an extra .10/mile is also gone with JB. We also had a built in factor to the trip miles as most computer trips don't pay all the miles but that is also gone with JB. Make no mistake, this will be a large pay cut for most current drivers. The only ones making out on this deal are the newer drivers who were no where near .44/mile but will be with JB. Ofcourse this doesn't sit well with drivers who have been around for years, they will get the same rate as the new ones.

Yep, the "good old days" of paper logs and drivers willing to abuse them :biggrin_25525: Those days have been over for quite some time now. XATA in the trucks keeps the HOS violators at bay and CSA has also kept others in line for fear of the violations showing up on their record. I've been there 20+ yrs and do not regret any of them. It's a sad day seeing the company getting turned into JB but it is what it is.

Jb pays more than 42 cents a mile my account pays you 46 cents after 6 months plus 22 a stop once those guys put a little time in they will probably at least equal what they were making before .

Not saying JB is bad, just not as good as what is already there.

There are reasons why the other company is gone from what I have read they didn't have very many assets and a high overhead which makes it hard to stay in business when there will always be competition to compete with . The reality is poorly managed companies will lose out to the better managed ones .

I know quite a bit about them... all they owned was some office equipment, and their name. They never owned a single tractor. I worked for them for 4.5 years starting back when they first opened the perishable warehouse in Hatfield in 1994. I believe that Webster/BH/Brattleboro Haulage exhausted the pool of drivers here in New England. Using driver id numbers, (by knowing my own) and finding out what newer drivers numbers were, in my time there they went through thousands of drivers. In less than a year I had become the senior driver on the PM shift. I saw a lot of drivers come and go.
