J&R Schugel Trucking

I forgot to post an update. I got this taken care of, was really easy. She had most of it already from one of the background checks, there was just some empty spots I needed to fill in. I had recreated my entire work history from what I could remember and from stalking myself on Facebook with approximate dates. Surprisingly I was pretty close.

On another note I am all packed and ready for my flight tomorrow afternoon. I am ready to get this journey started. I met a J&R Schugel driver here on this forum, shout out to @bdb1994 ... good dude. He introduced me to a whole group of drivers on Facebook, they have all been very welcoming and eager to share their knowledge and experience with me. I am feeling like a member of the family and I have not even stepped foot in a J&R Schugel facility yet. I have said this many times before but I am certain I have made the right choice of companies to begin my career.

 

Yes sir, they are paying for the flight. They gave me the option of a 48 hour bus ride or a 4 hour flight .... DUH I took the flight. Is on Southwest too with a short layover in Atlanta. I am even getting my own room at the hotel on them and three per day on them too ... well breakfast is at the hotel BUT they have waffles so it can't be to bad. There is a Culver's next door to the hotel and a Walmart across the street so I am set. I thought ahead and instead of lugging a bunch of extra crap up there I bought some stuff online from Walmart and will pick it up when I get there. I just packed my clothes, my laptop and a few other things I am taking with me from home ... everything else is waiting for me at Walmart

 

I opted for a later flight ... takes off from Tampa at 1:45, I arrive in Atlanta for a short delay then scheduled to land at CMH at 5:55 this afternoon.

 

Here now sitting by the gate. Was actually here at 11:45. Never know how TSA is running .... got here early to be safe and I walked right through.

 

Well I made it here to Columbus earlier today, it was a little after 6pm when we finally made it to a gate and deplaned. My buddy I havent seen in a while picked me up and brought me to the hotel. I checked in and we headed across the street to Walmart. We then went to this buffet near the hotel for dinner, even though they left me a voucher for Culver's. I did end up going to Culver's though .... used the coupon and got some ice cream .... got a couple of pints with it. Toffee Pecan and good ole plain chocolate.

Tomorrow is the big day ... drug test and road test. I will be around tomorrow at some point with an update.
