The 2 I use Mac Valley Oil amd Silvas in Oxnard. Both have seal stickers on the scale head. My understanding is that they have to be state certified to give use a certified weight. If you don't care or don't ask there are several around that give out weight tickets that are not certified. The keys is "Certified Weight" any thing else is not legal for point of scale. All the Bulk Mills we deal with are Certified by the state they are located in.

McValley Oil is such a dump. I got hung up from the first pump there because a truck parked next to the scale and walked over to the Subway. I had to wait until he came back because trucks pulled in behind me.

The following is pure speculation though. -
MacValley Oil is a total clusterf**k. I couldn't make heads or tails of it the first time I tried to hit the scale over there and with their business hours, they are open too late and closed too early. -

I haven't used a J scale since getting an overweight ticket in VA...I scaled the load on a J scale, and somehow gained 2,000 lbs. on my way to Virginia.

I'm in Oxnard every week also. I'm at the BMW VPC on Hueneme RD. I take Las Posas Rd from the 101 down into Port Hueneme.

Truck Driver Thanks this. -
The Mac Valley Oil store is good, the gas station next door with the subway is good as well, however, one of the times I was there standing in line to buy a case of manzanita sol apple pop (only place I've seen it) the younger heavyset male cashier with metal in his face was more concerned to be talking aloud with the customer in front of me about how he was able to get percocets, vicodin, or basically anything else illegal as hell in 5 minutes. VERY PROFESSIONAL.
