Check out raven transport they have several local accounts. Not sure as to any local positions though. I know they have several day cabs. Unsure how they pay

I actually applied there, haven't heard back, not sure how much experience they require. I guess I should call them...

That's odd; they hire drivers with only a cdl permit and use them as drivers helpers. Maybe the Jacksonville terminal doesn't have any openings. Dartco has southeast regional.

Truck drivers in Dartco's Southeast Region will operate primarily in Georgia and the surrounding states. There may be an occasional trip to the Midwest upon customer request. Drivers are dispatched from Atlanta, Georgia and average 2,000-2,300 miles per week.
    Driver Home Time
Truck drivers in the Southeast Region can expect to be home every 10-14 days.
    Truck Driver Equipment
Truck drivers in the Southeast Region benefit from:
    • Newer, late-model trucks
    • Assigned tractors
    • No slip-seating
    Driver Friendly Freight
Truck drivers in Dartco's Southeast Region enjoy driver friendly freight. You can expect 98% no-touch and 65% drop and hook freight.
    New Truck Drivers
Don't have a lot of driving experience? We have a program for entry level drivers with less than 6 months of experience.

There is a chain and cable outfit in Jaxville proper. You might get decent flatdeck loads out of there. Fun loads too. Just don't ever enter the building, there is high speed wire that will slice you into three or five chunks.

Can anyone help me to locate where I can rent a truck to do only road test for CDL A in Jacksonville FL or near by city? I got all the maneuvers just left with the road test.

I’m not sure what they charge. Call the north Florida technical college driving range 904-964-5932. located in starke.

There's also Flagler Tech down in Palm Coast . They used to charge $250 if I'm not mistaken to do just a road test with an instructor (assuming you have your cdl a permit?)
