If you end up in the area, Valley Bulk in Washington PA would be an avenue I’d explore, I worked for them back in 2011-2012 when I lived in western PA. With the gas boom ramping back up I would assume they’ll be doing quite a bit with it, they’re mainly a bulk tank company, with some flats and a few dumps mixed in. It’s a family run operation, and the equipment is top notch. If I ever moved back to the area they would be my first call.

Our company was very cheap. When I was there from June’ 13 to June’ 15,they had two “skid shacks” set right behind the office in our yard and next to our trucks. I noticed these type of bunkhouses were common around the area. Our yard had 2 of these, furnished with a small bedroom on either end, a common area in the middle with a couch, two refrigerators, sink, stove, microwave and TV. Also two bathrooms next to each bedroom. In each bedroom were three bunkbeds, assigned beds and wall lockers. We often had 13 people in there, with one sleeping on the couch because he did not have an assigned bed. Most people were from San Antonio, 90 minutes drive away, and would stay “on duty” 9 days and go home for three days off.

I knew of other companies nearby that had the same type of bunkhouses, but with two beds or only one bed on either side; Key Energy anyone.
