I joined mainly for maintenance help becuase I’m an owner operator but obviously check out what’s going on in other forum topics. So did you join just to ##### and complain on open threads? What a life smh

Yeah this can be a big issue with truck drivers who like to show how professional they are by using their jakes instead of just slowing down in advance my rule is anything below 80 km per hour or 45 mph i don't use them unless i'm out in the scrub with no houses around. The other one is no jakes between say 9pm (21:00) and 7 am (07:00) in built up areas. I hate noise that disturbs others i have neighbours who have absolutely no regard if there stupid mutts bark all day and night, so i try and set an example these days i'm finding that this current generation have one rule for themselves and another for everyone else in other words it's ok for them to do what ever they please but look out if anyone does something to them.

I actually joined looking for information when my 6NZ was stuttering not long after a platinum inframe. got some great advice that saved me tens of thousands of dollars. so I decided to stick around.

You are confusing how it sounds in the drivers seat vs the actual volume. The only way to accurately test this is to measure the decibel level at an equal distance from the two trucks. For example set the decibel measuring tool up in the window of a 2nd story bedroom 150 feet from the roadway. And even that isn't going to be all that effective because frequency of the Soundwave matters just as much as volume.

Just curious, if "you don't care what people think", (your words) why bother to reply?
