hey russ just if i rememebr the caterpillar part number i used for my 340E was 143-6628. that was a tune up kit. basic springs, link springs, control valves, inner and outter control valves springs and snap rings. i got the cat solenoid part numbers somewhere here.......

Russ, along with the 143-6628 kit, i forgot these incase ya wanna get deeper in it,the autolash screws were the red coded ones # 192-5502, new nuts were # 1b-4430, new soleniods were # 163-1533. each solenoid assembly come with all three o-rings. there is a special socket you can make one or buy one from pac brake for these solenoids. i bought one from pac brake along time ago for like 25.00 bucks. i totally gutted my brakes when i rebuilt them, so if ya need any more part numbers, i got'em man.

What serial prefix do you have with 340E's? All the MBNs i've seen with jakes are 340D's. I thought all the twin turbos from BXS and up are Cat engine brakes?

the 340E is for a later bxs. when converting a mxs accert over to single charger-70 pin 6nz style setup, having to get rid of vva/jake use a 340E# jake.

the jake on 5+6 was the one. it was one of the spool vavles under the bleed plates that went bad, got her fixed. thanks everyone. the last down grade in wv on 68 was fun when it quit workin grossin 144000lbs. that's a pair of shorts that goes in the can!

How would a BXS have vva with a 340E jake?

DO WHAT? re read...to get RID of the vva and jake combo of a MXS, your gonna USE the 340E from a BXS( for example bxs02992) on a MXS to delete accert junk.....
