I spent 4 hours since morning to book this load with JB Hunt for $778 for 365 miles run to Petersburg VA picking up within two hours or so. Millville NJ
Then I got a call from another number which he said is the direct line (when I called back some else with name Amir picked up the phone). The load was posted from Glassboro NJ to Richmond VA, but we called it became from Millville to Petersburg. Both sides added miles and the actual estimate changed, but I accepted for $775. He called back, which I missed, and got ready to run after 15-20 min of preparations, but did not see the rate sheet. I called back on his, so called direct line some one else (Amir) says, Chris is not available. WTF. Any way what I hear is the rate is too much and they can't afford it so it was cancelled without leaving a message. Wow. So now back on the board again to see if the Tras** behind the scene lets me pick up a load out of here, where there are 3.27 loads for 1 truck, and over 2300 posted earlier. Total weekly posting was high as well at 20,000+ and the posting rate was at 34 posts/ min. Question, if all the brokers were low lifers then how come no law suits and fights are not going on??? Or is this behind the scene tras*** only intercepting my calls????

That's more than what JB usually pays. They probably found one of their regulars to haul it for less.

That's why a $250 TONU is a good idea, keeps that kind of stuff from happening.

Can't get TONU until you're dispatched. Which means getting a signed rate confirmation back to them, then calling dispatch and giving them truck / trailer number, location and ETA.

So the regular hauls do not buy fuel and do not go over the bridges and some how drive with $8800/year insurance???? Thats biggest BS I heard. Why would you go out of a hot market for fuel and expenses only. Like I said earlier that the whole industry depends on DAT reports before announcements and planning for the next year, please do not just call it a fraud company. People pay millions of dollars to these people and will continue to pay because they say it is way more worth than you pay for????
Here are todays stats and I am just curious who will goes out of this hotter market to a bad (or equal) over the toll roads, bridges and Washington DC rush, Richmond VA rush. Please post here after you take the shaft, question is, for what??? You are sitting in the 3.27loads to one truck market why do you think you should drive for free??? Do not tell me the bull shi*** of your next load. I am talking about this move out of hot market to the same or lesser for the truckers point.

I think the mistake here is actually calling on that load.

How about this one as John says we move it for $625 on this 43k load going over tolls and Washington DC, Richmond VA and then the bridges, tunnels and DE tolls. Oh no forgot to mention they might be able to go up north about 44 miles to beat the Del Mem Bridge toll because PA TP does not charge a big number on that bridge, wow. If JB Hunt is able to manipulate to food and fuel only for their run in a strong truckers market (stats are attached) then can you imagine what would they do to the hard working people( I am not talking about the wussies behind the desk pushing pens and keyboard)
