Does anyone have any current experiences with running a dedicated regional account for JB Hunt? Good/bad/otherwise? I have searched the forums high and low, but everything seems outdated, and from what I hear, a lot has changed in the past couple years, company-wise.

    Thanks!!!

While I don't work for jb hunt, a guy I went to Cdl school with last year and who I've become good friends with does work for them.

I talk to him once a week, sometimes more. He works up in IL, WI, IA, area. Sometimes gets loads to MO and OH. He does intermodal so runs mostly rail yards.

I know he is paid by the mile and makes. 42 cents a mile. He says his miles are either so so, or low. I think he was ######## about a 1400 miles week a few days ago.

Of course your mileage may be alot different. That said I know he enjoys being home for his reset once a week and has said the health insurance is what is keeping him from leaving at the moment. Best of luck.

It sounds like he runs on the Intermodal Chicago West boards unless he was down for mechanical issues or it was a bad week for whatever reason, 1400 mi/wk is not typical. If anything, if you consistently fail to get 2000 mi, you'll have a talk to. I am on the Chicago West boards and I get 2200-2400 wk in five days. As with our industry, some weeks are better, some worse.
