I was just offered a position with JB Hunt's Dedicated Division out of Columbus, OH through the Home Depot Contract. They stated it was a 5-day work week with two days off. They offered me a 2010 Pro Star with APU.
Does anyone here know anything about this account out of Ohio? It runs Western, NY and Western PA, along with Ohio and parts of Michigan. They offered me .39 a mile.
i would like to hear from people who have worked this account.

Can't really answer any of your specific questions. But use caution, when a large company like JB offers .39 per mile, it is usually because you will not turn a whole lot of miles, basically a lot of short runs.

Is it flatbed or dry van? Do you have t do any unloading or loading? I've seen a lot there pro stars on the road never one with and apu
-
No it is not flatbed, It is Intermodel so I have been told. I leave for 3 day orientation on 4/10/11, I guess I will get everyone updated.

Dident notice you were from rochester , you try wegmens???

I applied to Wegmans and they called me the very same day. They told me to call them on September 1st and they will get me in. That is really where I want to work. I need six more months of driving behind me before they will hire me. I've only been driving for 18 months and they require 2yrs.
I worked for a very good company prior to me going to this JB job. I left there thinking I was going to a better job but that job fell through. So now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. This JB job doesn't sound bad, I have to admit though I am nervous because of all the bad I have read. The way that I look at it is, anyone who had a bad experience writes about it, there are thousands of drivers who don't write about because they don't mind the job. I guess it is just a filler job for six months before I can get into Wegmans. -
Hope it works out don't sound to bad but, most the big companys suck I found that out with my time at heartland.

I use to work for Dot Foods and drove a 07 Volvo with 500,000 on it. No carpet, no power windows and was set at 60Mph. So these trucks hopefully won't be that bad.

This is probably the new Home Depot DC near Findlay Ohio. They have been bugging me for the last 3 weeks to come to work on that account because I live 30 mins from the place...
