They've already taken enough of your time. They will bury themselves. Move on.

Define "recruiters"...... A person who "recruits" outside help. The recruiter will "fluff up" the co. he represents. His job and commissions depend on weather or not he can recruit people, right ? A psychological ploy from the recruiter to use on potential new hires is to get them thinking they will be hired even before they are hired. So, the new hire thinks he is a "shoe in" and stops calling other co's and now the recruiter's job is a little bit easier. I mean, how many job seekers make lots of phone calls shopping potential truck co's, wasting recruiters time and never end up working there ? "Yeah Bud, you look good on your app, we'll get you into orientation real quick. Meanwhile look at some videos etc and welcome to the family !" Although the recruiter is well aware that said new-hire is not officially hired yet.

Unfortunately you don't get paid for anything related to pre-employment, as your not an employee yet.

Well true on the psychological ploy.. but they bought me 2 drug tests, did my background report, clearinghouse, called my references, and the "on boarding specialist" spent 2 hours on the phone processing my information. and I was given a start date. Why would they have wasted resources on someone they weren't gonna hire? Due to the company being so large, I believe it was a miscommunication from them not Knowing that somebody was already hired for it. Luckily I gave 2 weeks notice at my current job and had 2 other backup jobs I applied for otherwise I would be screwed right now. I shouldnt have wasted time on those training videos, they kept on calling me to tell me how important they were to get done before my start date. Shouldn't have fallen for it. It's not for sure until it's for sure!

    Not necessarily so
Because the mega companies hire alot.of steering wheel holder that have zero mecanical ability.
So when the truck doesn't move they just call in with truck trouble .. then sit and play video games waiting for the service truck to come fix the issue
So it cost the company more money and the steering wheel holder sits on their ### video games racking up points .. maybe even getting break down pay

What kind of haircut did you need for a drug test?
