Sometimes your pay scale includes a bonus .. which you will lose if your idle percentage is high, or MPG is too low. And as stated before, your dispatcher will council you on both of these if you are off company approved levels.

When I worked there ... and was trained to be a DCS driver manager. MY BONUS depended upon the MPG and Idle percentage of the drivers under me, along with on time percentage vs number of loads delivered.

I ran JB Hunt OTR after being on a DCS account. I had a fleet manager that put his bottom line above his drivers. That did CHEAT me out of my bonus, and left me sit as punishment after I complained to HR about his actions, ineptitude, and work ethic. I worked around him with night dispatch and hopefully reduced his bonus by idling 24/7 when left sitting. Found a different job, and quit JB Hunt. Was never counciled for a high idle percentage.

Run away from this company ... My life was not ruined by them. But I've personally seen drivers dismissed for next to no reason. JB Hunt blasted their dac, making it very difficult to find a new job. And .... biggest reason to stay away. You will make no money.
