went on to work for jbhunt as a company driver for 4 yrs.decided to become a lp driver as i ws approached by other driver already leaving the program i realized whats going on as a company driver i was getting the miles and a quailty pacycheck which was all good and about to change Leasepurchase is a joke the charges that comes out are unrealdo to the bad Economy anyways the freight rates that they set for you is up to fail you .90 mile who in there right mind would go for that and the "b" service what a joke you goto any petro and just for a lube and change is normanally around 199.10 out the door jb charges 265.00 flat rate tires is another thing jb gets a big discount on the tires that they get we as lp purchase dont get them discounts, fuel yeah a discount but in long run your paying that dicount right back to jbhunt pocket or to the irs through the fuel tax you pay all in all as a company driver point of veiw dont do the lease purchase because it will come back to haunt you and you loose everything that you worked haard to already get as a company driver for jbhunt thank you......

Lease/Purchase with ANY company is not a good idea IMHO. It's pretty much modern day sharecropping.:biggrin_2556:

My friend is doing an lp with Central Refrigerated, He has made some money, now the 100k mi + truck is costing him money from someone else's wear and tear. It's the perfect scam for a co to dangle the keys of an overpriced thrashed truck and get the driver to pay to deliver the freight.
Listen to the experienced drivers here and get your own truck, don't do fleece!

Most think about the big paychecks and are not responsible enough to take care of the expenses. Uncle Sam haunts many of them if the company doesn't get them first..

There is enough stress out there to add on leasing to it.

I like having medical insurance and a 401K.
