Unless you work nights, you're days off won't be consecutive until you get some seniority. I start at 6am and my days off are Monday and Friday. The night guys have to get consecutive days to get a reset.

And now the bad side of the account.... They seem to have a policy against fixing the trucks between PMs. I don't know if it's a JB Hunt thing or just specific to this account but the whole time Ive been here it's been like pulling teeth trying to get any repairs done. I've been slip-seating for 2 weeks now because they refuse to send my truck to the shop for a coolant leak. I told them if they give me some coolant to put in there, I'll see if it makes it through the day and get an idea of how fast it's leaking. They never give me a straight answer about either getting it fixed or filling the coolant and running as it is. They just keep giving me keys to other random trucks in the lot. A lot of the trucks they slip-seat me in also have issues. I've never seen or heard of a worse maintained fleet of trucks. I'm trying to keep a sense of humor about it but it quit being funny after about a week of getting the runaround. Now it's just plain pathetic. As long as your truck never needs anything fixed, it's a pretty good account to be on.

This thread starts and stops, my turn to try starting it up. I've been aware of the Meijer fleet for years but only just this afternoon did I notice the JB Hunt logo on one of the tractors. My question: is the entire Meijer fleet run as this JB Hunt dedicated account? Are there other drivers working directly for Meijer and not through JB?

Incidentally, I applied twice to Meijer in the past and never heard from them...now after reading this thread I am feeling fortunate I didn't get caught up in this.

Meijer has a private fleet that runs day cabs. All I know about them is that their drivers look down their noses at the JB Hunt guys. After 3 years running the account for JB Hunt, there is a lot of consistency. I consistently get 2600+ miles per week, I get the same 2 consecutive days off every week, and the equipment consistently sucks. I just deal with the truck issues because I love the schedule and the fact that I spend almost every night at the house.

Is meijer account through jb hunt still sucks? They r trying to get me in. According to the recruiter 5 day, 2 off. Evening shifts. 300 miles radius. Gross 1350 to 1600 a week. How true?? Anybody??

They exaggerated the income potential. 1300 to 1400 gross is more realistic. Most runs are round trips between Lansing and NE Illinois/SE Wisconsin. They also cover a few stores in northern Michigan.
