That's a pretty strange thing to do, isn't it? I hope the guy is okay...

Everybody has strange parking habits not just JB Hunt. Its mostly owner operators who arent even parked in a parking lane at the truck stop but parked right against the curb or something.
-
Parking in a travel lane is a big no no. You are right ducks, I sure hope he was okay and didn't have any type of health probs. Sometimes though, you do need to be creative when trying to find a parking spot
-
you can say that again. i have parked in some, uhh "interesting" places..................
-
so, mostly owner operators do this???? Where did you get this wisdom? I am a company driver, not an OO, but I tell you from my experience, the guys and gals with the nice trucks, the OO, they are the ones going slow thru the lot, parking straight in their spot, are backed in, not nose in, keep themselves and the truck clean. I know this is not every one, but I see a lot more of them then your average big fleet driver.
Most of the big companies just push anyone they can find thru their training, and these noobies never learned the ins and outs of trucking courtesy.
Just my 2 cents. -
There is a small QT about 8 miles or so from my house, and on any given night, especially Friday and Satuday, the street beside the truckstop is lined with trucks. The street (two lanes each way) does ultimately dead end after the truck stop though
Somehow, I don't think this was the case with this driver....
