Well, that was entertaining, just got a call from a JB Hunt recruiter. Couldn't hardly understand what she was saying the connection was so bad. They really need to get them some decent headsets, all staticky, but only when she talked. I'm glad I know better than to work for them. I'm desperate for a job and I still wouldn't ever consider working for them. I've got a family, and my family comes first, above all other things, and I already know they can't respect that, let alone their drivers... Well, I'm bored, needed a break from looking for work, just thought I'd spread the amusement
Ya'll have a nice day!!

I got a call and email from Schneider. I sent an email simply asking what OTR jobs are open in the GA area that I was 45 miles NW of ATL. And that I would be wanting to start soon if they had a dedicated or a regional route available. Sent back email saying to call them they can answer all of that and giving me a ton of links to schneiders website to different stuff like pay and hometime etc, Then about 3 hrs later another lady called and left a message for me to call her back she heard I was looking to start with Schneider and was gonna tell me all the " GREAT THINGS SCHNEIDER COULD OFFER ME " I just want a better job I dont care to hear all that mumbo jumbo.

Hey Jeepwj02, chances are good that's just the 1st of MANY calls you will get from a number of JB recruiters. I'd say in the last 6 months, they've called me almost 100 times, even though I still tell them I'm not interested in their company, and to please remove me from their contact list. In other words, if their this bad and I don't work for them, just imagine how it must be once your one of them.
Total opposite would be Schneider, as I've spoken with several of those folks over the same time period, contact I have initiated, they have been the most pleasant of all to deal with. -
This is odd.. a guy named jason.. said he was calling for JB Hunt..an wanted to know if I would be interested in coming to work for them.. I just find it odd.. I have never applied with them.. ever!!!

JB Hunt contracts outside recruiters. I talked to an in house recruiter and everything was a go for the SouthWest Six (which is not all in the southwest and there are more than six states involved). I was rejected for a 2 1/2 lapse in employment.
A contracted recruiter contacted me I explained my situation as taking care of my mother for the last few years. He want Dr. letters and proof I did just that and said the company was willing to work with that. I never followed up but I bet I would have been sitting in a folding chair for 3 days and be sent home. He would get his commission.
I worked for BJ Hump for a month before. I saw those things in orientation. I did not get the miles I was promised on JC Penny dedicated. I would take that in a heart beat now. -
they have to keep up their reputation! lol
they advertise here in pa for drivers averaging $54,000 a year local work but yet can't get the seats filled because of their reputation -

more than a few years ago, a JB recruiter walked up to me in a truckstop and asked me if I wanted a different job, so I asked him what I had to do to get the high rate per mile that they were advertising. He said that was only for drivers with lots of experience, to which I replied I had been with my current company for over a dozen years, and he walked away!

Rhys so you don,t want to net, take home 700 to 900 a week, not gross. You live in In. run Chicago intermodal, 20 dh, 30 lv. ld. detension after 1.5 hrs., break down after 1 hr. and yes they pay every time. I pulled just about any trailer and worked for alot of co.s. There not perfect, but if your experienced and know how the system works you can do ok. By the way that,s a 5 day week.
