NO NO NO
Find a company that doesnt HAVE to recruit.. You talk straight to the safty department or terminal manager not someone who is paid on a commision if you get hired or not....Cant state it any more easier for you to understand...IF they have a recruiter MOVE ON

JB is not the only company that does this. The reason companies use 3rd party recruiters is because the people in their office now are called "processors". They use 3rd party to gather all the information about a driver and then submit to JB via 3-way call to the processor. The processor then takes all the information for the applicant. So, the "recruiter" only pre-qualifies the driver. In other situations where companies use 3rd party is, the recruiter takes all the information for the application. That recruiter is only given the information that the company wants them to have. All the recruiter is pretty much given is the pay rate in a sliding scale. (Between 34 cpm to 42cpm, for example) they are also given what they can take from a driver through a qualification sheet. If those qualifications don't match the sheet, they don't get hired. There's a lot more to being a 3rd party recruiter than you know. The 3rd party recruiter also does not get paid until that driver actually pulls his/her first load from the yard. The hire 3rd party recruiters so their company people can do other things in the office. In other words, 3rd parties do most of the work so the app's can pretty much go straight to safety for approval.

JB may not be perfect but they have changed..and for the better. Many happy intermodal and DCS drivers.Lady_T Thanks this. -
It's in the contract to not advertise their names.

a lot of larger companies do this. SNI did it for a dedicated fleet I drove for. The guy was pretty nice and upfront about it. It's up to a person to ask the recruiter if he/she is in house or not and if they are working on a commission, have they ever driven etc..
