All the new trucks have radios in them and I watched a cb get installed the other day at the service center in north little rock. I know jb has a strict policy concerning distracted driving but I drive otr for jb and haven't gotten any qc messages concerning the post.

There has been conjecture about what companies are doing to combat distracted driving, also laws and regulations about said issues.
A company can do more, while enforcement of laws against certain things, say, hand held phones and texting while driving, or even using a mobile device in a construction zone, which is illegal in Illinois and other places, and other practices which are indications of inattentive driving, is iffy at best.
I quickly lose count of violations I glimpse in Chicagoland, where the ad slogan, "Cell phone in 1 hand and ticket in the other," is the current safety ad being aired.
And no, I'm not looking to catch them, it's still just everywhere you happen to glance.
I think the company intent is for a driver not ending up in a courtroom being asked"Were you distracted by something you were doing with a radio?" -
I can see it now, no radios no cbs we all have little flags that we hang out our windows to inform of impending weather, or traffic alert, heard jb coming out with new hats too that have blinders on each side kinda like a horse.
i see drivers using cell phones, texting, etc.... But have yet seen a Leo pull either a truck and or 4 wheeler over for it. Me personally, I hardly ever use my cb and or radio, might turn radio on if weather looking bad just to here the reports, and the cb I generally turn on at shippers and receivers and if I see traffic stopped, as for patty, I would say I think I do, but you would have to ask her for sure, always sounds like she having fun as it is......lmao -
This trucker will not drive a truck with no radio in it, something has to soothe the savage beast !

I couldn't drive without my radio. The truck whistles too much. Drive me crazy then I'd kill someone. Radio is a must.

Next they will remove all the 12 volt outlets so that you can't run any electronics.

I thought that that was suppose to be Werner, who was suppose to be the innovators, and shakers of the trucking world......oh....that's right they got us those elogs.....in cab cameras going to be next lmao -
this is not true, I do know JB would like all that stuff out, But the radio and CB's are part of trucking. No radio will eventually be worse, driver will get tired and then have to stop more often. This message would have been sent to all qualcoms not specific ones. The cell phone policy is strict due to safety and the Law of the road. this is making JB sound like they don't care about their drivers..
