being fired isnt damning, less severe than having a minor INCIDENT to alot of carriers, just apply, and if rejected apply to next.

You don't need JB Hunt, you need a real trucking company. A real trucking company knows JB fires people to keep driver pay low. The same story for the other motor carriers that do it, too.

Recruiting requirements change by the minute and the best thing you can do is jump in and start applying. The moment a company has more drivers than miles to run they start to frustrate the applicants trying to get in the driver's seat to slow down the revolving door.

Forget the Mega Carriers, look at smaller, stable carriers that don't advertise. Pick a parking area near an interstate- set up for several hours, get a cup of coffee and write down the names on the trucks that pass by. Weed out the big companies, look the rest up on the Internet. There's a lot of opportunity in those unknown companies.

Take a step up instead of getting stepped on again.
    Good Luck.

If Prime won't touch you, you better stop looking to large companies. All you're doing is wasting your time. Go to the truck stop and get one of those little magazines that advertise jobs. Go through the magazine and cross every one of those companies off your list. Now you have a reasonable starting point.

I don't know what other advice to give you.

try super service out of grand rapids,if they wont touch you id say go towards sending out a mass of applications, and then 1099 slavelabor contractor positions as a last resort..

and then mcdonalds, or home health aide bed pan guy.

if i remember right, last i checked...prime was very relaxed as far as their standards, 4 moving violations,2 accidents?..

but thats not prly what it is these days, everyone is tightening their standards

Werner terminated me in 2001, and it wasn't for anything "VERY serious". I had my first and only accident in four years (and none since) with Werner, damaging the passenger door of a car with my trailer. I was also late with two loads within 6 months, and they decided to terminate me, to my surprise. Had a spotless DMV record before that minor accident. Just bad ltiming that it all happened within a 6 month period. But that was their call, and they were within their right to do so.
