Gross the ad says $65,000-$75,000/yr. I am currently doing LTL but have been with the same company for 4 years and still don't make $60,000 working 60+ hrs a week. I am not really interested in going to those big LTL carriers because usually you have to start on extra board or something like that. How much freight from or to Green Bay or Appleton area do you haul? I have heard this is a huge area for JB intermodal.

yea forget LTL. i was with Saia 8 months and started on a run where i made just under 1k a week and at the end of the 8 months i had actually gone down a cpl notches and was making just under 800 a week.

it is a big area. intermodal is over 60% of JBs revenue. im running between chicago and green bay every day. sunday afternoon im taking a load to green bay.

still foing good, have a good trk, and ur in a good position. just remember to time your runs so that ur avoiding traffic time in chicago and milwaukee.

Do you get to pick the time of day you run or does it depend on loads available? I do a peddle run to Green Bay everyday. I did run intermodal for 10 yrs in and out wi and chi. its been probably 5 yrs since but have been to every rail yard down there. But just don't want to be gone from home all week. wouldn't mined every other day or something like that.

yes i choose my start time. i try and start later in the afternoon near milwaukee so i miss milwaukee and chicago traffic. i also try and get back home or close to it and run the maximum i can. tonight tho i got stuck in chicago as the container i picked up had a flat tire and i didnt have much time left anyway :(

you could be home every day. the wisconsin flex fleet is just that, very flexible. they asked me what was more important to me; being home or making money. i said money. they said u can always change it later to be home more. but even so ive managed to be home a few times a week.

another option for u could be PTI tho. they have jobs in Neenah. just sayin lol. talked to a PTI driver tonight and he said its pretty good. depends on wat u want tho.

I am more of an early morning person. Use to start at 2a to run from Milwaukee to the rails in Chicago. When I talked to a recruiter a while back he said there was a good chance I could be home everyday living in Appleton. I don't think PTI pays as well plus they do a lot of live loads and use rail owned chassis. What are jb's truck gov at? What is the physical performance test? I wish I would have switched to JB when they were going the orientation in Green Bay in stead of Chicago.

my company does something like that also they call it a back evaluation.Did they say anything about passengers? I know the rail yards use to allow them if they stayed in the truck but that's a long time ago. how long is the road test?

I know csx was allows more picky about bringing passengers in. Also NS 47th st wouldn't allow two males in the truck unless the company notified them. They had a problem with 2 guys where robbing other drivers by gun point. But they would let in wife or kids to ride in. I use to take my wife with me sometimes. What are the popular rail yard JB uses? I know BNSF Kedzie is a big one. Does JB let you run the toll roads or are they picky about it?
