clean MVR ,just been driving oilfield tanker for the last yr. and kinda got out of touch with otr co. I know one thing hurting me is an old assault charge on my DAC 7 yrs ago.
And although did not wind up a conviction (it was no more than an aurgument) it happened 1 wk after 9-11 when everyone was considered a terrorist.

Yep!! There is more out there than just the big 3. The flatbed outfit I was talkin about only has 6 trucks. The owner is my cousin. they only need one driver, I am bieng laid off the 23rd from my current job, I tried to go to work for him, and he begged insurance company, but my record is not good. But all they needed was 39 month MVR. NO DAC!! So I am Sure you can find something. as for JB, If you are hurting for work, and broke, it might be worth it, so you can get on here and post another bad thread about them!! LOL

I used to be a meter reader! it is a lot more difficult than you might believe. Animals, insects, poisonous snakes, angry & bellicosecal customers (mad about their bills they vent on u). Some are downright malicious & accuracy is paramount in recording. Failure of equipment, weather conditions etc. Cut the meter reader some slack! It is a tough way to make a living & there is the many miles every day of walking & body contortions required to read these things as they are not positioned with any thought about the reader. You may be doing multistory apartment building, residental neighborhoods safe & crime infested!:biggrin_25510:

All I said is that they had hundreds of people applying for the job. So how did you go from that, to me needing to cut them some slack?:biggrin_2552:

Thats not entirely true. In Jan of this year I was parked in a McDonalds parking lot. While I was inside getting my food an O/O backed up and plowed in my front bumper and grill causing a coolant leak and trans fluid from the trans cooler. My company told me I was not at fault for this since I was parked and logged as on break. BTW my truck is a brand new International Pro-Star, and it had 51000 miles on it when it was hit. That hurt the most. :biggrin_25516:

driver i can attest to the fact that i am not one of those whiney little drivers who thinks a company should cater to every complaint....my beef....and its an overall one with jbhunt is that they make their policies span throughout the industry as to say just because i was terminated for whatever fabricated reason it should just stay with jbhunt and not blackball me throughout the whole industry...its strictly a business move on their pert because they dont want another pissed off driver driving for the competition....to say i am not re-hirable when i am able bodied with a good MVR and very professionally oriented is indicative of the arrogance and irrationale attitude and untouchable mindset jbhunt has. the consensus is that when you drive for jbhunt it will be the last company you work for because of the policies and railroading tactics jbhunt practices. their policies are anti driver.....now tell...how is it that i follow the policy of reporting this incident only to be fired for violating another one....my honesty and integrity was not honored and therefore i deem them as a classless company that cannot be trusted because of their anti driver policies....i am a healthy man and still very physically strong with a good MVR but jbhunt still deems me not re-hirable because they can egt away with it....DAC is a joke because companies misuse its legitamacy.

Yea JB Hunt is bad in some areas, ok in others. Just one thing to tell anybody going to JB or just thinking about it. DO NOT stop for accidents. It is JB Hunts policy that you just keep going if you see an accident. If you stop YOU WILL BE FIRED. They do not like getting mixed up with it and they will TERMINATE you. It's the stupidest thing I have ever heard and you should beable to sue because you are supposed to stop as a witness but they will can you so just stay clear.
