Day 1 Orientation
Day 1 of orientation is in the bag.Nothing to it really except a lot of sitting around waiting for others to finish to have my turn at the stretching, lifting and peeing in a cup. lol There were 11 of us in this orientation class and one of them was sent home within two hours of starting for a medical issue. I feel for the guy as he flew into Greeley from Michigan just to be sent back home. I can understand though. The other ten of us got through everything and are on to the next day tomorrow which involves filling out HR paperwork and more training. The trainer said that this is the smallest orientation class in quite a while and that there are usually about 30 or so. The smaller size allowed us to get through everything quickly and hopefully we will be done in the three days. I'm looking forward to getting into a truck with my trainer and hitting the road. I took a picture of all the new T700's which I will post a little later once I figure out how to. LOL Can't believe how many of them are sitting out in the yard waiting for drivers. First day was good and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice thing was that they had everything they needed from me before I even got there so there isn't any issue of needing to make calls for employment verification or anything like that. I will post tomorrow evening with the exciting events of day 2.

Picked up a good load in Georgia delivering in Utah in the morning. A load of Carrier refer units going to Utility for our own trailers. Nice to get back to the high country. Getting a little bit too hot and sticky down South for this Colorado boy! Must of passed 10 of our trucks on I-80 today. 2825 miles this week and I have a preplan going to NM tomorrow. Much better than last week. Take care all...
