JBS Carriers Greeley Colorado

Barring any unforeseen events, I am supposed to start orientation on August 29th. Can anyone give me an insight on what to expect (How long, Etc.) Also during my 8 weeks training how do resets work? Any home time after the 8 weeks?

I am looking forward to this experience even though it's completely different from what I've done before. My school gave me the basics, classroom and driving time but I know I have much to learn yet. I'm sure it's a lot different out on the open road. I guess I will have to adapt to a lot of different situation that I have never experienced before. I come form a very conservative background (No drinking, never done drugs and even cussing was not tolerated). I'm sure I will have my eyes opened when I start. Hope to adapt well and do the job to the best of my ability.

My apologies. Figured you'd been there before. Watch out for that lot across the street if its snowy or raining. It nothing but dirt and full of holes. Casino has only been opened a year or so. Intersection of 75 and 20 (I tnink) also has a small trk stop and the next town north of there has a small trk stop. Better late than never, eh.

 

If that lot across from the WallyWorld DC has any serious water on it... be very wary. Its a total mud hole, and MANY drivers have found out just how expensive a tow is in the BFE Okie Boondocks!!

 

Hi great read here, I was wondering if you guys are getting paid weekly yet? An earlier post said it was gonna happen in June, did that ever happen? Being paid weekly is a big plus. Thanks guys

 

We are still on a every two week pay period. Once you get used to it it is all good. If they goto weekly payroll I personally hope that they offer the option to stay on the every two weeks thing I am against weekly pay.

Asked payrole about that the other day.....no weekly pay for the foreseeable future

 

I like the 2 week pay period. Able to pay more bills with 1 check than waiting for the next check in order to have enough money. Myself I have a hard time not spending money that i am suppose to save.
Got the honnor of being selected for a ramdom drug test. Small clinic in the King Soopers shopping center in Greeley. Ask dm about being paid for this, after all it is a company request, done on your on-duty status. will update when i here back.

 

Thinking about coming to JBS after 15 years with Tyson,was wondering if anyone can enlighten me on the driver training program,what it entails and how long after I start can I qualify for it.2.75 million miles safe driving no citations ever,and safe driving awards from everyone I have worked for,Let me know Thx
