with all the trainee's that came aboard onto JBS fleet, just makes me wonder if they are being trainned to be responsible drivers. will they take care of their trucks ??and trailers most importantly?? hope so ,if i do join fleet.hope in 6 month's(if driving there)the trailers don't start looking in bad shape due to negligence of inexperence handlers!! for instance ,,pick up a preloaded trl. at golden,co found on left side(driver's side) two blown outside tire's due to trl going over foreign object punching hole into tire's .driven awhile like that because, the beads had broken off from rim !!then dropped to get loaded and it was still loaded..no one knows,no one see's true story!

I think that was a rare occurance, for the most part I would say we have some of the best equipment on the road!

Imo we have some of the best maintained equipment on the road......and as a trainer I take it as my personnel responsibility to make sure my students keep it that way although I can't say what the new trainers are doing I know trainees are doing it right.......there are always a few bad one s in the mix.........I can say also that our head of maintenance is one of the most diligent one I have ever worked with

With all the problems that JBS had in the past and trying to turn it around, they seem like a good company to drive for, hope they do not turn into just another low paying training company, time will tell.

MrNobody, The trailers by JBS requierment have to be inspected every time a driver hooks up. there is a macro on the quallcomm that has to be sent in. If there is a existing problem that should of been caught and repaired by the previous driver, it can be traced back. For the most part i personally have only had 2 trailers where this happened. took care or the problems. As for the trainee's, I am one, been out for 9 months, pre trip/post trip. I feel that the trainer I had did a good job.

I read a week or 2 back that layover pay was being bumped up to $100 a day. Has anyone actually seen this on their paycheck? My husband drives for JBS and had 3 days of layover pay on his check yesterday but only at $40 a day.
