Seems like there is a PTA ghost. I set my PTA for 20:00 last night. This morning sent message did yall forget about me. She says's your pta is set for Tmrw. So reset it for today if I'm ready to go.

So heads up if you are waiting on a load you might want to see if your pta is set for the right day. SMH

Mile Hi I met a guy a few months ago who while we were checking in at a pilgrims plant. Tell me how he was using the exemption when he would run out of hours. I SAID WHATTT. I told him that was only for local drivers. Went to his truck, and his elog looked like a throw away log.. No Pretrips, no post trips, no docks, no fueling. He's was an experienced driver who had been there a month and thats how he had been logging, and safety didn't send him no kind of warning that he was doing this wrong. I had to show him how to do it the right way. He didn't even now how to do the 8hr in the sleeper to do a split break.

Yeah we have to help our fellow drivers out because I think most people are sleeping or they are just not teaching in orientation. I know when I was in Orientation they let us use the qualcomm, and I gota say this is the easiest qual comm program I have ever used.

Thank you all for your input. I know all about the waiting game. The last company I worked for had a lot of layovers and a lot of drama, it was a training company so of course, there was a lot of drivers who were thrown in the shark tank and could not swim. As a solo, I averaged only 2400 miles a week so I went teams and averaged 6500, mostly running re powered and hot loads. I think I would like to go teams with this company as long as they don't try and pressure me to become O/O.

JBS is on my list of companies I might want to work for, but I have some questions I would like answered by drivers, not recruiters, if y'all don't mind.

    1. I heard they have a Western Division. Is that so, and if so, would I have to wait to get on it? Is the pay and mileage the same? How far out is considered Western for them? I think the Mississippi River is far enough for me.

    2. I live in Tucson, AZ. Would I see the house much?

    3. How much time a week do you typically spend at shippers and receivers?

    4. I have 10+ years of verifiable OTR experience, no accidents, but have been off the road for a year and a half. Would I have to go out with trainer?

Thanks for your time. Any info would be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear this for sure. I do understand totally though. My hubby has been home and put his PTA at 8am this morning. He was given a load of pallets to pick up at 1pm( in Greeley Co) to take to Grand Island and his load would be ready Saturday at 5 pm Yes you read that right.

It is frustrating for sure. He kept talking about lay over issues to the "powers that be" and now we are seeing PP's BUT they still are giving WAY too much time

It is a sad day to lose an experienced driver like yourself....it hurts us all as a company.

BTW are you on your way to NM to team? If so you met my hubby:biggrin_25519:
