Sounds like you have done this. If you have and didnt get caught, you are lucky. I have been informned that when driving off duty, you need to return back to the point of your departure, within 1hour time. after it has been cleared with fm and safety. within the avaible HOS.

Those policies haven't changed and more then likely won't change. Some folks just not fit for this side of trucking. Just like I'm not fit for the produce hauling side. Talk about waiting without getting paid. I'll pull a load to get from point A to point B. But that multi stop/pickup produce hauling is for the Super truckers and teams..

How is it you have been driving for as long as you have and are talking about detention. Detention is pretty new since the 14 hr came out. Most places won't even pay it.

Also as a company. To offer your services to get more loads. You tell the shipper or receiver that your company doesn't start detention till after 4 hr's instead of the 2 and you are more then likely to get the business. Even better for a company to say we won't charge any detention at all.

I'd rather be sitting in some dock sleeping while they load me. Then not getting a load @ all. Use your time wisely and know how to work your E logs, and its trucking as usual.

I hope you keep in touch with us. When you find your dream tanker job. Because I'm pretty sure. You will have a problem with anybody you go to. Happy trails Partner.

Hunts Point is loaded with JBS trucks. Never seen this many here. 5 were here when I got here, and 1 was coming in to park once I parked.
Also NYC pay is 150 not 250 unless they changed it. Which I doubt. Guy also told me his pete was doing the same thing as mine and it was the EGR. But he ran it about a month until he could get it to a terminal. Said it was going out the smoke stacks. <antifreeze>

Have a good night. Folks dibty dibty that's all folks:biggrin_25525: How about that Tony Stewart!!!:biggrin_25514:

You must be high on crack. if you think for a second that i will have a issue finding a "dream tanker" job as you put. and when i do get my tanker job i will not only keep you personally update i will even post my pay. while your monkey *ss is giving up 4 hrs. if you stop and think for a minute, i know thats hard for you to do after all you have a 1 track mind. if you count all the times you sit and give up 4 hrs and add that up in a month thats a *hit ton of money that the company gets. and not you. tanker drivers are in very high demand, unlike the any monkey they can get to pull a reefer. just look around you. the tanker drivers are needed in all 48 states and in some places the demand is higher then in others but none the less they are in demand. so you keep telling your self what a great deal you have here and you can sit and give up your time for free. dont you think its a bit funny how in another part of trucking all your time is paid but yet in reefers barely nothing you do is paid. so you have fun barely making a living while you have fun pulling your reefers. if you didnt have such a 1 track mind and read prior pages on here you would see what im talking about as well as look at other boards, on this site and read for yourself if you know how to that is. and if live here was so dam great then mr smarty, tell me why people are quitting? its not because of the trucks or the benefits. its all the time you give for free, some have miles issues, and the lack of being able to go home, because god forbid you ask to go home then you loose even more money. i hate to say this but i have a live outside of jbs carriers

"i have been pulling tankers for the last 6-7 years. so yea im not used to this whole detention idea, no matter how you cut your still giving away 4 hours and thats just plain wrong."

I hope you keep in touch with us. When you find your dream tanker job. Because I'm pretty sure. You will have a problem with anybody you go to. Happy trails Partner.
"if it wasnt for the economy taking a nose dive i would still be at my tanker job, and doubling what you make in a year. i was let go from my job as i was told i made too much money as a company driver. and how can you say i will have a problem with anybody i go with? i just have a major issue working for free. but i really dont expect your monkey redneck *ss to understand it. as most drivers dont and most are just happy with there little world inside there truck. whatever your making per 2 weeks and if your happy with that great for you. i know im worth more, and i have made what you make in 2 weeks i have done it in one week. so yea you be happy with your little reefer gig that anyone can do. but not just anyone can pull a tanker.

Why do people quit. Because like you when they have a bad week. Oh the sky is falling. Funny how you said you were ok. Till you started getting bad miles. Now after 3 months you realize you don't get paid for detention. Until after 4 hr's and You bet not be in Greeley, because you don't get no detention there. I'm sure they told you that in orientation as well. Its the Meat Patch bro. It's a bad economy bro. JBS and the rest of these companies don't have a money machine.

You were spoiled, just like most of us were spoiled. Now stop living in the past. Just look at all the millionaires who are not millionaires no more. If people don't buy we don't deliver. If we raise our prices. The prices will have to be raised on the products we ship. Simple economics.

My questions if you have been driving 13 yr's what did you pull b4 a tanker? Probably a van? So you knew what you were getting into. So stop your moaning dude it's unmanly. If you don't like it get to step N.

I made tons of money as well pulling reefer. But of course most of that was doing things illegal. I was the top driver, and my company didn't fire me. Because I was making a bunch of money. They kept giving me raises. So Your company firing you because you made to much smell's like a trucker story. Maybe you refused a pay cut. I don't know. I'm just assuming. I really hope you find a good job. So you can take care of your family and flash your checks in front of my face. I don't hate. I congratulate.

I can understand not being a job hopper. I hate changing jobs. But sometimes you have to do what you got to do. I wish you well in all your endeavors bro. Just look forward and stop looking back. G nizzzzzzzight.
