i do agree with you, im not a jbs cheerleader either. but when someone wants to know i will tell. the good, the bad, the ugly, i do know that food and what not needs to move from point to point. but in the same idea, i know this reefer work isnt for me. Just as i know tanker pulling isnt for everyone either. maybe if i didnt know any better maybe i would be more accepting to the terms here. but i protest the sit and wait for ever in a million years just to get a load and not be paid. seeing how much experience i do have, jbs thinks thats worth only .40/mile, thats bull. and as i have said, there are good things here but the bad out weights the few small good things here. i personally think $1800 gross in 2 weeks is a joke. but more power to others if they think thats great pay. but i know otherwise. im used to being paid that on a good week and maybe 1100-1200 on a bad week. like i have always said when you sit and wait and wait and wait, add all that time up at the end of the month and see how much time that adds up to be. i just sat for 20+ hours for ZERO pay. and thats just this one time. i have given up on voicing a change here, it is what it is and it will never never ever change. and im ok with that just as the people that think this is the end all be all jobs. i just know if any of these comapanies ever wanna be great they dont need big shiney new trucks and trailers. just pay a driver. i personally think all time from home should be paid in some fashion. of course minus sleep time. as the saying goes "if your wheels aint turning your not earning"

Its not driver fatigue its driver fitness, and everything in that catergory falls on the drive i.e. speeding, following to close,no seatbelt, etc etc. They sent out a QC about this a couple weeks ago. Our HOS rating is very low thanks to elogs. And that is the most important thing HOS violations, keeps you honest and them honest.

Or the driver is not letting the company know there is a problem with their CDL such as suspended because they didn't pay a ticket,I know a driver that drove for 2 years on a suspended CDL because he thought he paid a ticket in OHio,got to the scales in Illinois, bang DOT Inspection,OOS for a week at the scalehouse till he got it cleared up.

Stay away from all of them.I've worked for Roehl for 90 days, started with Schneider in 1992,Central another version of Swift,If you want to work hard, and not go home a whole lot,you could do a lot worse than JBS,I am a trainer here if you have any further questions let me know and me or Doc Holiday will try to answer them. And remember when talking to recruiting make sure to have a list of questions for them so there are no suprises when you get here.

i happen to agree with tysondriver here. out of those companies listed, i think your better off with going to jbs. get your experience, then you can go anywhere you wanted too. and who knows maybe in another year jbs will get there ducks in a row, and turn around the company and pay there drivers better.

I am a trainer here don't let what Julie said bother you,It is at the discretion of the Trainer how long you stay according to Tom (Training Manager). My last trainee drove for 10 years,20 years ago,I had him 3 weeks because I had to break him of some bad habits MTC Driving School taught him in a refresher course, dont wirte JBS off yet.And they do pay their experienced drivers well,In comparison to some companies I have talked to that want to start off a driver with 19 years experience and almost 3 million miles without a ticket or crash at .32 cpm
