If you know the meat business you'll do fine here,I came here from Tyson and am enjoying my career a lot more. And as for this page remember JBS has around 500 drivers and only about 10-20 of them post on here so dont rely on this page as research talk to driver out on the road.Doc knows his stuff,I have not been here long but I have fallen right into place and do not have near the issues a lot of these drivers have.Let me know if you need anything.

So then whats the big secret on getting it right? since you seem to have all the answers? just asking. your right shouldnt only rely on this page as a source for someone doing research. but in all of my post have i lied about anything?

i do say we have great equipment, great benefits. but in the same idea sitting for hours on end and not getting a dime in pay isnt right either.
giving a place 4 hours of my time is crap. let alone i gave up 20 hrs between yesterday and today. so as i have said where have i lied?:biggrin_25510:

Nope you've been on track,I think each driver is a very different individual, after having dealt with the meat business for 16 years,I have gotten used to a lot of the issues that come with it.I've grown a thick skin,I take advantage of the down time and try to keep my mind occupied so I don't go nuts.If the load is late its late,at least we are not doing 150 mile plant shuttles in 24 hours like my previous employer. And I try not to get into office politics, and fly under the radar.I worked with Darrin at Dart give him a chance to turn this mess that Moe left around. They brought Brent from Australia to straighten it out,and someone I know in Tyson Corporate that worked for him before said he is a turn around man,and he'll get it right.Hey at least we do get some detention 13 years at Tyson and thousands of hours wasted sitting at a chicken or pork plant and not one #### dime@!. I know what its like to have a drop in miles. Thats why I left Tyson,My pay went down $25,000.00 in one year to be exact. But if you have to go go.:biggrin_2558:

Tyson I don't know why I do. I understand things happen from time to time but not on every pay check. I send payroll a MSG when I see the mistake but nothing seems to one out. Never get any reply back on anything. Always end up going to HR to get anything done. Sounds easy, you turn in your receipts you get paid back for them. I just don't understand why I have to go throught the same stuff on every pay day and feel like I have to fight for what is owed to me. The sitting I candela with. I know it happens but the pay mishaps is a deal breaker for me.

I feel your pain in loosing 25k in a year. I do think part of my hatred towards reefers and vans is just the lack of pay. From my 2008 year I went from 93k a year to under 50K I lost 43k in 1 year. Jbs is my 2nd company being in reefers. I think part of my problem is the lack of pay on this side of trucking. I don't mind the wait time, but I think a driver should be compensated for there time. But I know that part will never change. I know reefers are for some and tankers are for others. I guess if I didn't know the money to be had on the tanker side of trucking. Then I guess reefers would be ok. But since I know different it makes it that much harder to accept the lack of pay on this side of trucking.

So ya'll don't feel like the "lone stranger", so far this week, I've sat for a 24 hr period and am now doing back to back 10 hr breaks. My company sure does a lot of night driving and getting kind of tired of that.

Man, talk about being disappointed. Am picking up at a place called Santa's Sweets. Had visions of sugar plums and all that, dancing in my head. Get here and I'm picking up............... tomatoes!!! :biggrin_25516:

    Daniel,
Had you read the entire post where I said that when someone comes on here with a problem in that past I have tried to help them, also if you doubt I am a driver here you can simply call, any department in the company Mark Sawyer Truck 13404, SAWMA is my company alpha ID, I have an old 7 digit (before the 6 digit employee numbers) and there are several drivers on here who I have met, swapped loads with like Shasta Medic, Foxfire, HarleymanJax, FloridaRedneck and if I was not in a JBS Pete well my ### was on a broom then.

I do not work in the office have not will not and there ain't enough money to put up with all the BS they do..
As far as finding out about someone having a meeting not an issue at all when you consider how many drivers have been helped in the past, not to mention the ones who have come on here asked questions, been emailed copies of pay stubs heard the good and the bad with no sugar on it.
I make good money I am a greedy SOB though as I have a family to feed also, I sit just like everyone else, I sat for 6 #### days in Green Bay as I got caught up in a pissing match between a Load planner and my FM. Which hell I suffered for it yes, I got paid also for my time..
I kiss no ones ### will not kiss anyone's ### ever, I tell it like I see it and when I call the office and talk to whoever about a drivers issue's most of the time the problem is rectified quickly.
Anyone who has met me or talked to me on the phone will tell you that this forum will not allow me to talk like I do all the time due to some ####### program that won't allow for colorful language, in the 23 going on 24 years I have been in trucking 19 of them pulling a trash wagon (reefer) I spent most of them working for a Mom and Pop outfit. I came here after the company closed, and I happen to be the type of person who does not sit back and take the #### I am handed.
Instead of crying about it, I try to find ways to make things better for all of us,
Hell If I worked in the office most of the driver would be better off, but then some would not have jobs, I would first ####can the hiring of Students, and turn the trucks up to 78 mph and tell all the drivers You loose your CDL tough #### amigo...

You talked about being short on a check, you would have #### just a month ago if you got my #### check over 1200 short, not my mistake but a mistake on a Payroll processor, Someone else got credit for the work I did, thankfully he/she was honest about it. I Made one call to Kathleen in payroll she found it and made it right although I did not get it until the next pay period.

And just in case you are wondering my ### is sitting in National City California, Exit 10 of I 5, Bored to death and no preplan and I have my Vacation time set to begin next friday out on the East coast.

Ok with that said. The meeting I had was a closed door meeting. Something that should notbe talk with other drivers. Also what your where told of the meeting was a small peace of what was talked about.
As for pay yes from July this year I had a 0 paycheck. Seems the work I did went to another driver also. So from that point I watch my pay like a hawk. Yes I came here ######## but I am sure it is happening with other asthe meeting I had did not change anything. I still can't get payroll to reply to any MSG.
If you want to know the truth email me and I'll send you my cell number. What I talked about in the meeting is back up by what Keon my Qualcomm and is no trucker story. daniel.trawick@gmail.com
