JBS Carriers Greeley Colorado

The count down may be for the both of us. I have already had 2 offers already with 2 other companies to work for them. Talking with the wife and checking them out for what I can find on the net. I have vacation coming up next Friday so I might be out and about checking them out in person to see if I can get a better feel about them.

I have two weeks left in my CDL school and should be at the Jan 3rd orientation. I have a question for Tyson.Driver, Doc, Harley, and really anyone else that would like to answer as well. I see some guys on here constantly have problems. What are some suggestions to avoid these problems. I have no spouse, kids, or commitments at home. I just wanna run the road and get some experience under my belt. Basically, what is the best way to go about having a pleasant experience with JBS? Thanks

 

Bring plenty of lube with ya to orientation...............lol

Seriously though as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations you will be ok, the trucking business sucks! All companies suck! It all depends on what is important to you as to whether you will be happy here!

 

well the new policy of having to get your daytime DM to approve any on road service officially sucks!

I am due for my A service, spoke to my DM about it yesterday, told him I would be getting it done tonight and I get to the Petro in Knoxville, call breakdown and find out he never put it in the system!

So now i have to get ahold of him first thing in the am and get it done then instead of getting on the road early like I planned!

Good thing I have 3 #### days to go 830 miles!

 

I personally think the fuel routing sucks. 2 trips I got back bad zip codes. And the current trip said to fuel in benton harbor, mi. The load was from worthington, minnesota to zeeland, michigan and yet by the time I got to the wisconsin / illinois state line I was down to less then a 1/4 tank of fuel. I really don't think the truck would of made it to benton harbor. So I just stopped and got fuel. I'm not taking a chance of running out of fuel because of the stupid fuel routing B/S.

 

To much bull malarky for me. Glad I didnt go out. Hope things get better for you folks soon.

 

Doc knowing that you can call up and get info on any driver in the company in a snap can you do something for me. Just want to know if the trip sheet they giv you matters if it is for greenbay if you are out of Greeley. I just get the I not sure answer and payroll doesn't reply to my MSG. Thanks

IT Does make a Difference which one you use actually,
The Code on the top needs to have the letters JBSU for OTR Drivers out of Greeley. The person who process's the payroll for green bay is different.

If you Transflo from your laptop in your truck with a scanner you can actually choose where it goes to, and then the barcode does not mean squat.

I am still sitting in San Diego California, once again JBS Load planners have their heads so far up their asset to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I got a pre plan load some Bananas take them to Utah, grab another trailer haul ### to NJ, Deliver on Wednesday and GO HOME On Vacation......

2 jobs in the last 23 years a Good MVD, and DAC, CSA score of 0 I hope I can find some potential prospects for a better 2012....
That is all I am asking for at Christmas is a better next year than this one....

Same here... been following JBS for awhile. Had them on my plan B list - seriously past tense for awhile now; way too much chaos for my tastes.

I wish the preplanners would get there act together. been sitting here at sara lee, in zeeland, mi since 5:30 am. now im ready to roll and i got nothing. i sit and wait. home is like about 1000 miles away and i have to be home by the 18th for a doctors appointment on the 19th. i hope they do something soon. been up like all day here waiting. WTF people.
