Ya your getting why I turned in my truck , my one routing had 37 steps to it that I didnt receive till after I departed ...10 minutes off my clock when I should have been running , routed through la in the rain during rush hour that didn't follow my gps was a safety issue too..stops to fuel when I don't want to stop 25 minutes a day , 2 lane roads to save a few miles through one bullet barney towns with stop lights saves no fuel and 600 mile days are over ....for what? A counseling if you don't do it ...A stick with no carrot.... Another 200 unpaid hours per year with increased safety risk .... JBSBS

    Ya'll aint gonna believe this!.....................

After I unloaded in Allentown I was planned to drop my empty at the Pilgrim's plant in Franconia, PA then bobtail to Souderton to pick up a load going to Chicago......................

I get to the Pilgrim's plant and it's CLOSED! I mean shut-down, deserted, a big FOR SALE sign out front!...................:biggrin_25521:

Tried calling them but the phone number has been disconnected!

What kind of company doesn't even know one of it's factories has been shut down?

Good news after all though, I get to Souderton and my load is ready 24 hours early!.................BAD NEWS is the BOL says its over 46K!.........Since these KW's cant haul that much I'm gonna have to deal with some BS tomorrow before I leave here!

Well th route they gave is NOT the short route. I dont think the short route have any truck stops we use to get fuel. But still they should pay the difference for the extra miles. I have almost an extra Dayton get where I am going so time is not a problem unlike the last trip I had a day to do the same mile and ended up with a 1 min log violation. Got to truck stop and hit change but before I hit ok #### thing went off with the alarm. Oh well, told them that I could not do the trip without having a log violation before I started. But I take it that we are not smart drivers and they know better then us.

I have sat fir 2 1/2 days waiting to get into a door to unload because someone did not make the appointment for the delivery. It sucks when you show up and they ask for a conf# and you don't have one. Then they tell you well you are not schedule come back when you have a conf#.

This is for Doc Holiday. You wrote that you have a guide for new drivers on how to be successful at JBS Carriers. Where can I get a copy of this guide.
    Thanks

Anyways looks like ill be home for christmas. I got a load picking up at the plant in arizona goin to georgia. 2200 miles then most likely dh to the house on friday to tampa. Jbs did good by me for this holiday. Ofc i stayed out 5 weeks and missed turkey day but it was worth it i suppose. Being a rookie, i may be ignorant about alot of things but so far so good.
