Good to see you on here fallinangel. What kind of condition was your truck in when they gave it to you? How many miles? How's power on hills? Dispatcher good? Many broker loads? How many days off you taking? Good luck with all you do!

Are you home most weekends or just this one?? Was considering going there a while back but became disenchanted from some posts at the old pages. I was told 2-3 weeks but closer to 3 also, I'm a little south of you in Fl and if I could get home regularly I would def like to reconsider them!
Good luck either way and I hope they are serious about cleaning up their reputation, CSA has put us all on notice about good behavior!!!

2-3 weeks out is average from what other drivers have told me, closer to 3. I like the elogs, no guess work, right down to the minute. Time management.

Thanks Ricky, I knew that was what they told me, I take very good notes when talking to recruiters for better or worse but was wondering if because JBS get's to Fl. so often ( I tend to see a few every day on I-75) that maybe hometime could be better.
I will have to revisit them as I am not very happy where I am, my notes haven't helped my cause there!! Needless to say the recruiters where I am were less then truthful and the bosses answers are always "they would never tell anyone that" but I have 6-7 other drivers all saying they were told the same thing when we walked in lock step together... oh well, that's trucking right??? LOL

This is fallinangel never beleive everything a recruiter tells you they just want to get you in the door but yes JBS works with you as long as you communicate I wanted to get home so they worked me here it took a couple days but here I am for a 34 hour restart and as for my truck I got a 2010 pete very nice runs 65 but thats all day has more than enough power ISX cummins Im averaging 8.2 to the gallon.and I love the elogs it does all the work for you no guessing.havent had a broker load as of yet most of the freight is ours as we bought out pilgrams pride so now florida is a good run.so far 3500.in 5 days and when i deliver in orlando on the 21st it will be closer to 4200 for 7 days not bad as every load has been geared at about 1000 or more miles each.so far I have been treated as a person not a number and i like that.

You are out 2 to 3 weeks you get 1 day for every week out you dont get home every week you put in a home request and they will work you there but dont put in a request to be home the next day because it just dont happen like that you have to give them proper notice in advance so the planners can work the loads out to get you there.like tomorro ill put in a home request for march 26th and 27th for home and they will have ample time to work that out for me.if you decided to go with JBS in my opinion you would be makeing a good decision.I have no complaints as of yet but with all companies there is going to be good and bad but like i tell most thats just trucking.alot of people think its just gettin behind the wheel and driving but thats far from the truth its alot of hard work and its not for everyone.you have to have it in your blood and enjoy what you do or youll not ever be happy as with any job out there.if anyone has questions feel free to ask ill not sugar coat it ill tell it like it is and thats a fact i have been out here to long to bs people.

What areas have you been running? Does JBS run 48, or is there is a certain region; I've heard Grn Bay does east coast and CO/UT terminals do 48 but was wondering if that was true? Thx

You better learn flatbed if you wanna be home on a semi weekly basis. Some flatbed companies get you home most weekends but be ready to bust your butt and do some all night driving after they get you loaded at 4pm in Houston and you got to be in Amarillo by 7am
