any info on Texas dedicated/regional

I have never done it. Have been asked to a few times and thankful I wasn't put on it. I guess living where you live you could probably take advantage of getting by the house regularly. They do a lot of drop and hooks, but they also do a lot of live loads to places like HEB and I think they get upset because it takes too much of their time up. But depending on what you are looking for it might be a good fit for you. Don't go in expecting lots of miles. I think the guy who was on here was averaging about 1500-22-2500 a week. They deliver pilgrims pride to cold storage's, different plants, and to the retail stores. If you have a good dispatcher and not get caught up in slow downs at the plants and customers. I don't see why you couldn't bring home a nice check. But like I said I personally never been on it. I have been stuck in the region on occasion and they gave me some of those short loads, but I'm a long haul type of person and short loads aggravate me. They pay I think 45cpm and that much probably because the miles may not be there some weeks. If I ever move back to Texas. I wouldn't mind trying it out. Because the wife is getting impatient with the otr.

Wow these guys won't let me get a break. 2 weeks and no restart. Running on recap hours and doing more relays in the last 2 weeks then I have in the last 2 years. But the miles are coming. So got to get them while the getting's good. Nap time b4 I get back "on the road again".
