A guy I know who drove 'briefly' for JBH did NOT pass the SNI crash course, for lack of backing skills, so he's back to square one with Swift or CFI or something. If you have the skills, seems that they will push you through.

Hey Joyride, if you're in SE Mich, you won't do cattle, you'll have to be in Plainwell for that position.... the local drivers are doing about 5 loads per day.

Joy, How much OTR Or CDL driving experience do you have?

How many winters have you driven?

JBS is not going to give you 750k worth of Beef on your donkey, with little or no experience...

How many times have you crossed the GWB? Delivered in West/South Chicago. Boston? Philly?

I talked to JBS today, they didn't say anything about $1200 guaranteed. They told me .45 cpm with possible .07 cpm in bonus. This is for Texas dedicated.

edit: looks like the OP is talking about a local job

I work in the pork division..I'm home weekends and during the week also. I live 30 minutes from the plant tho. Our drivers are home weekends or have the option to work. Beef dedicated it about the same I've heard. We do not cross over from beef to pork or chicken like some companies. My first full year living close to the plant and home 4-6 nights a week was $72000. About 2 loads a week to ####cago . They are almost always 3-4 hours out and back empty. That far away from Green Bay you will probably be out all week and home weekends..Beef is different division so you might go further out than I do and go to other plants.. Good job and easy money and newer KW T680's with apu's. $200 month safety bonus and monthly fuel bonus adds up. As with every company it depends on your dispatcher and you. If you get along it's great. If not it sucks My good one left and an ####### took over..People quit and he was replaced. New one seems to care and calls and asks how we are doing. Maybe it's me or he might be good.
