So, he got sent to Smithfield Packing for a meatload that delivers in Abingdon, Va at 6am....said his QC was going off almost before he got the trip to MD scanned in.
Would have been better if had more than 400 miles on it, and didn't have to be there at 6am...tight tight tight.
Week 3: Curtis Bay ME (MT) - Landover, MD (PU, beef) - Abingdon, VA 388 miles Abingdon, VA (MT) - Wilkesboro, NC (PU, Tyson slaughter facility?) - Van Buren, AR (where he made his 7am appt, but they still hadn't unloaded his trailer by 4:30. Another Prime driver, knowing this was FarmGirl's Bday, AND his FM had set him up for a 34 at home for that, offered his MT as he was out of hours, both FMs approved, and he headed home, giving said bday girl "the best birthday surprise EVER") 953 miles Home 20 - Rogers, AR (Tyson....again. Got loaded an out a mere 14 hours after the appointment, so he is booking it to...) - Springfield, MA, 1546 miles. Unfortunately, the del is on Wed, and so the long trip will not count for this week's check, but will make for an awesome one next week.
JCW/DTB. How you been doing with fuel mileage on your lightweight? I can't even get to 6s on mine. Tried everything. Tips?
