Let me get his permission to send you his cell number. He's doing average of 7.7. Gets 8s in the flat. 7.2ish in the unflats. (And since they keep making him cross the Appalachians heavy....)

Thats crazy. I can't even break 6s empty. I'm starting to think somethings messing it up on the truck. Either that or my mpg display.

How fast are you driving and what rpms are you shifting at apparently it plays a big part in good mpg if you are doing everything right you may have a truck problem or like you said its not reading properly...did you check to see what the qc says you are getting

It does. Try shifting lower, I was told around 12-1300. I've been running at 58mph mainly. My truck seems to do really good at 60 though. Need the momentum so I could make it up hills

Stay off of the throttle (like on entrance ramps,) don't leave the jake engaged all the time - use gravity to your advantage. Watch your weight... you want a little more on the drives. And slow down... if you think your truck is getting better mileage at 60 than at 55 you've got a mechanical problem. Progressive shifting when possible... keep your RPMs below 1200 as much as possible, turbo boost below 10 PSI as much as possible. Don't delay downshifting on a hard pull... you're just burning up a lot more fuel that way.

TIRE PRESSURE! TIRE PRESSURE! TIRE PRESSURE!

Hint: Get a notebook and keep track of your mileage. Learn from it.
